My elder son is more or less attached to his phone. I used Norton Family already with good success on my Windows Machines. Key on this platform is limiting internet for "bad" sites and switch of the computer if time is over. Works perfect!
In order to use the Android platform I needed to buy lizense for the premier version. The key annoyance on this platform are apps, gaming apps and it is not my intent to disable them. As the phone is mobile, I need to be able to disable them at school ("play only in the evening" mode).
Having the goal to prohibit apps usage during time outside my supervision is this Norton Family entirely useless and I regret the spending 39€ on it - the adverd promised more (handling apps).
As I used this product already before (except Android) I wasn't entitled for the 30 days trial.
I tested this product this weekend. I have been setting up App Monitoring and home rules (Hausregeln) for time. The log show only warnings on unauthorised browsers and basically the whole day today nothing, although the kids were playing all day long (the thing I tried to prevent). I also set time limit for 7pm. It got 7pm, but nothing happened, he hasn't got even disturbed in playing!!
I need:
- Norton Family to start indepently of the will my son!
- I need to be informed, what Apps he uses and when!
- Timelimit need to work!
I would like to work out a profile with my son
- what Apps are working at which time (e.G. Clash of Clan from 7pm - 9pm)
- it would be nice of apps are hidden if the profile does not allow to use them now
- it would be nice if apps are killed in case time is over
- the phone function of the smart phone should not be touched
I need urgently a solution or I need to use my German Product Law to hand back the license and get the money back - Reason not working Product!
