I got an error message, "Server Error", when trying to install Norton 360 with LifeLock yesterday. My tech support agent was near incompetent. She didn't answer my questions and seemed to be lost in supporting me. So I hung up. I was able to make some progress but not sure if the installation is complete.
Windows 10
Azflyer:Now when I load Norton 360 I get the message that my trial version has expired. I never had a trial version. Norton has been installed on my computer for years. My next action was to click on the Next button. Now the screen shows the word "Activating..." with a progress indicator rotating. The "activating" went on for several minutes with no change then the message "Server error" We're working to resolve an issue that prevents us from completing your request. Try again later." Then the window changed. The new text is: Your trial version has expired You need to activate it now. This is followed by a yellow clickable block with the words "Activate Now" inside of it. Below a line are two items - one says Device Security and "You are not protected", the second one says Software Updater and "Unavailable".
It looks like I have to call again.
Please review:

Did you have another security product installed before trying to install 360? If so, did you fully remove it using the removal utility for that product?
If you have a VPN enabled it can cause server errors. Was there any more information about the server error? ie an error number or description?
