My Norton 360 Premier Version 5.0 keeps giving me an error 3039,65543. When you click on the support it ends up bringing up a web page with the suggestion of uninstalling any other anti-virus, I have not installed any other anti-virus on my computer and cannot find anything that resembles an anti-virus program within my programs.... any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!!
You can uninstall and reinstall the Norton product to solve this problem. Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product. You can follow the steps in this support article:
http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100802154251EN
After you run the Removal Tool, and restart the computer, you will get a Web page to re-download your Norton product. I've read somewhere that this problem can happen due to some Symantec drivers which are not properly installed.
So before you reinstall the Norton product, try this:
1. For Windows Vista: Click Start, and then click All Programs > Accessories > Run.
2. For Windows XP: Click Start > Run.
3. In the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and click Ok.
4. In the Device Manager window, click View, and then click show hidden devices.
5. Under Non plug and play drivers, check whether any symantec drivers show an exclamatiom mark (!). If find, uninstall it. Common Symantec drivers include naveng.sys.naveng15, and any which starts with Symantec.
