I recently purchased Norton 360 V5.0 for 2012, and it worked great for about two weeks, up until a week or so ago. When I turned my computer on, Norton went from the green check, to a grey dash, with indications that my Norton was inactive and not protecting me.
I went through the listed fixes (restart the computer etc) to no avail. I then removed it, and reinstalled it back on the computer as noted from the Norton website and it worked for about 2 days. Now when I turned the computer on today (Norton was working fine this morning) it again came up that Norton is having the 8504, 100 error.
I am running Windows Vista is that makes a difference. What is this 8504, 100 error and how do I fix it? (As removing and reinstalling Norton does nothing but give another day or two of protection, and take up a download from my Account).
