Error 8504, 104

Hello

I have never ever had problems with Norton 360 Premier Edition. Only recently has this error occurred. I remember the day before this all began Norton 360 was working with no problems as the application was showing up in the icons tab and the process was active in the Task Manager. The next day when I started my computer it suddenly popped up with this window.

LiveUpdate fails to start, so does North 360 Premier Edition. I tried all the remedies in the Support Centre. I installed a clean copy of Norton 360, I don't have any other anti-virus software on my PC and I updated my video drivers. I even followed some of the solutions other people found that worked such as a hard restart. Does this error mean N360 is not protecting my computer?
