I am experiencing the same exact problem that numerous people in this thread experienced:
There doesn't seem to have been any solution. I absolutely refuse to uninstall and reinstall Norton, as numerous people there said that that caused their computers to crash, and caused them not to be able to connect to the internet.
What's going on? I don't want to run unprotected, so this is almost forcing me to pay for another anti-virus software. All while Norton worthlessly runs in the background, not working at all.
What do I do?
The strange thing is that this happened all of a sudden. I hadn't updated any programs, and if Norton updated automatically, I'm not aware of it. All I did was turn my computer on, and that message came up.
I'm on Vista on an HP laptop.
