I recently bought a new pc with Windows 8, 64 bit. I downloaded my Norton 360 and installed the program, no problem. But I keep on getting the error code: 3039, 69639. I have run the NPE program several times, and Norton finds no problem. But the Error code keep on popping up. So what do I do??
Is this a Norton Error? What are you doing when you get this error? ie running a scan, liveupdate, tuneup

It appears you found the Knowledge Base Article for the error since you ran the NPE, however did you look towards the bottom of the page and click on the What if this didn't work? Which will take you here. This should be your next step, but please use this more recent Norton Removal Tool.
Yes it is a Norton Error. I run the NPE program and restart the pc. But I have now removed Norton 360 as there seemed to be a fault in the installation (SONAR wasn't running), and downloaded the program again so I have to wait and see - maybe the fault has resolved after the re-installation of Norton 360.
Yes, I did read down at the bottom! I used the Norton Remowal tool, and downloaded the program from my account, and installed it again. It seems there was a fault in my prior installation, but it is running fine now so I'll have to wait and see if the error codes turn up again. Thanks to everybody for the real fast answers to my problem - I am amazed!
