ok I ran a live update and updates shown as found downloaded and processed.
instructions were to re-start my computer, which I did
As it was shutting down to restart, I heard a sound that corresponds to
Windows- Critical Stop
I looked in Windows Problem history and saw nothing to correspond to the time I heard the sound
Of course my concern is that something went wrong with the NIS update processing
But if that were the case, then wouldn't NIS notify me that the update was not processed?
Also after restart, I ran live update and nothing was found
I just want to get everything all set right with NIS so I can leave it alone and no longer worry
