I too get this error when doing a save.

I have Norton Ghost 14.0, version 14.0.1.24977.

Please help.  Not a good out of the box experience.

Hi garymu,

Which operating system are you using? Please describe the exact steps you take and options you choose when creating this backup. I want to be sure I follow your exact steps when trying to recreate the problem. Thanks!

Moved to a new thread for better exposure

Norton Ghost solution: (maybe Save & Restore also)

After doing restoring a "restore point" I needed to restore all my files & folders from that data. This requires going to the Restore Files are, then File/Import Backup Destination and pointing to the Norton Backups folder on the backup drive. (BTW: this is NO WHERE in the documentation! It should be added in a section on "How to restore files from backup")

So, when trying to import, it failed with error E4BC0012 and a useless message. You won't find the answer out in the web. The problem is a corrupt catalog. Uninstall Ghost completely, removing your setting also. Reinstall and import will work so you can restore you files.

Spend over an hour with some live chat goof and he didn't even know how to restore or to Import.

hope this helps!

Which version of the product are you using, and on which operating system?
