Error EC950008 when trying to create a recovery disk

Are you using a Software RAID?  You could try the same work around that Beetle and Glenn did, but with a software RAID there is no guarantee that we're going to come up with a work around.  If not using a Software RAID, could you try booting from the default SRD and see if you can access your drives?

 

 

Yes, I'm using software raid on the eSata (I think)....I just tried the Beetle workaround, and got the error message again.  Can I email you the exact error message via screenshot?  Would that even help you?

Try running Driver Validation from the Autorun menu when the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD) is inserted.  Does the same error occur?  If not, what is the driver that is missing, that needs to be added?

Driver Validation looks at storage and network drivers on the computer to see if the SRD already has the correct drivers in its database.  If the computer needs other drivers, Driver Validation will tell you which drivers are missing.

 

Also, do you have either of these two programs installed?
