Couldn't post this under existing topic for some reason. Originally was able to back up and restore ok. Now getting the error messgae when trying to rextore. Can back up my HD but if I run "validate" I get the error msg. Tried reformatting back up drive, used Norton Disc Doctor to check disk and run surface scan. No problems found. Ran the install disk and ran "Repair". Tried fresh back up same story. Has anyone come up with an answer since the original thread?
