Happened to me.

 

Try this:

 

  1. Empty the LiveUpdate cache. Options>Last Tab>Remove All Files From Cache
  2. Run LiveUpdate, even if it fails, and reboot
  3. Make sure you are connected to the internet
  4. Make sure LiveUpdate is allowed access: Settings>Firewall>Program Control. Make sure LiveUpdate is allowed access and is allowed to make connections to and from computers. 

I can not find Empty the LiveUpdate cache. Options>Last Tab>Remove All Files From Cache on the Norton 360 panel.

 

The firewall I have is Norton 360.  I highly doubt it will block it own product.

Please follow the steps that I have provided. It is possible that someone, or something has tampered with your settings. Under settings make sure to tick SymProtect Tamper Protection. 

 

To empty the cache:

 

Run>luall>options>configure>update cache>remove all files from cache.

 

Also, try using luall instead of LiveUpdate within norton. 

I still can't find the Options>Last Tab>Remove All Files From Cache on the Norton 360 2.0 panel in any of the 4 . or the SymProtect Tamper Protection.   I don't see in the 4 panels or the drops downs. 

 

Are talking about the same product Norton 360 version 2.0.

 

I did reboot and it did update!

 

Nevermind, I found SymProtect.
