Error message 3035, 6

I continue to get this error message since renewing Norton 360 in December.  I have uninstall/reinstalled 4 times, once using Norton Cust Service online.  I have used  both the Norton uninstall software and windows uninstall.  It worked for about a week recently but now I am back to the same issue.  I used the Norton online virus deep scan software and it found nothing.  Is my only resolution to go back to Norton Customer Service????

Hi,

please try this out:

1. Open Norton 360

2. Click on the Support -> Get Support menu item on the top of the window

This will run the product's self diagnostics.

After it is finished, did it repaired anything? If yes, did it solve the error?

No such luck.  I guess I will try Norton Customer Service.  Thanks.

You can also try to re-install the product manually as well. Sometimes it's much faster than contecting Customer Support.

Here are the steps:
1. If you use the feature, please backup your Identity Safe data (Settings -> Identity Protection -> Backup)
2. Download latest Norton 360 installer:

- Standard with 2GB Online Storage
- for other languages please go to the Norton Update Center and select manual product selectoion + change the language on the site's top: www.norton.com/nuc
3. Download Norton Removal Tool: www.norton.com/nrt
4. Disconnect from internet
5. Remove Norton 360 version from Start Menu or from Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs
6. Reboot
7. Run the Norton Removal Tool, reboot (repeat it 2-3 times)
8. Install Norton 360 version 6 with the previously downloaded installer
9. Reconnect to the internet
10. Activate Norton 360 version 6
11. Run Live Update until you get no new updates
12. Restore your Identity Safe data (Settings ->Identity Protection -> Restore)

You can check how the Norton Removal Tool works in this video.

Negative again.  I get about  5-7 days of functioning before the error starts again.  If I got the 3035, 6 error and ran virus update manually then the autofix it was fine.  I am back to the same old, same old.

Hi bwh318,

Two things come to mind - could your system clock be losing time over a period of a week?

Also found  this solution  to a prior 3035, 6 error.

Please keep us posted.

Is there an "easy" way to check the system clock?  I have synced it twice in the past 8 weeks since I saw an internet suggestion on this subject.  P.S. I thought Einstein proved time is relative?
