Error message 3038, 104 is still not solved!

I started having problems with Auto-Protect, the warning that it is switched off. The Autofix could not solve this. After consulting the support website, and following the instructions (remove and reinstall Norton 360, and run Liveupdate) it seemed like the problem has been solved. All indicators turned on green. But in reality it is only appearance, and NOT a real solution. Because when I try to run a quick scan afterwards, the scan does not work at all. I got a error message, followed by the Autofix error message "error found: 3038, 104". Again I have consulted the support website, and followed the instructions (remove and reinstall Norton 360, and run Liveupdate). And the circle repeated itself. The same results, in appearance all indicators turned on green, until you run a scan...

I have contacted the Customer support. The assistant helped me clean up old Norton files, removed Norton, changed some registries, reinstalled Norton 360, and run Liveupdate again. Again, in appearance all looked fine, until you run a scan. 

I also have donwloaded Norton Power Eraser. The Eraser did perform a system scan, and did removed some files. After this I runned the Eraser again to make sure my system is fine. And it is.

So, based on the fact that Power Eraser could perform a system scan, and Norton 360 not, I must conclude that the Norton 360 Premier product has a major flaw, "error message 3038, 104" has been there for a long, long time. There were more complains in the past on this error message, and the solution suggested on the support website does no good at all. 

How is Symantec going to solve this?
