Error Message in Windows 7 Action Center - Windows Security Center is Turned Off

Receiving this message in the Action Center. When I click on Turn On Now, nothing happens.

I went into services and tried to start Security Center. I received a message that "Windows could not start the Security Center on the Local Computer:. Error 5: Access is denied.

I am running Win 7 RTM Professional. My security software is Norton Internet Security 2009 16.5.0.135.

I know that this version is not compatible with Win 7. The version that was released that was compatible was pulled back due to problems, however, this was working yesterday.

Apologies for the issues with the patch being removed. Symantec are working hard on a new patch to address the issues and it should hit liveupdate soon. In the meantime I’m sure you will keep monitoring the forum boards for any updated news.

OK - I’ll keep an eye on the board, as I do not have Live Update anymore.

Please mark this thread as solved (this will close the thread) and you can recreate a new one when the new release is out and you have restested the issue.
