I'd say that is a sure sign that you are infected by a malware scam.

Try running a free security program called Malwarebytes -- download the FREE version to your PC to a location where you can find it; run it to install it; run it's Upgrade function and then run a complete system scan.

Then let us know what the log it gives you says about infections. Do you know how to copy/paste something into a message here?

If you feel that this is beyond your comfort zone then I can only suggest you take the computer to a reputable PC service place but beware that they may fix it by replacing the Windows installation and losing all your personal files so you need to copy those to a safe place and make sure you have the installation media for any applications you have added.

To get you the best advice, would you give us some more information about your system:

What version of Windows are you using including Service Packs and whether 32 bit or 64 bit as well as the Name and Version ID of the Norton product that you are using -- Help / About is where that is, in the format of nn.nn.nn.nnn

If you have the COMCAST version of Norton 360 / Security Suite and not the normal commercial version please be sure to tell us.

If you get any error messages please give the exact wording of them as well as any other background that could be helpful.

Thanks Hugh I will try the malwarebytes I already have marked so I will try it   , my computer is hp pavilion model# p6516f ,product# ww616aa#ABA serial#4ce230x6d ,I am using Norton internet security 2010 subscription ,for windows 7

and Norton virus removal  insurance an Norton utilities thanks

Hi preacherwife:

You can also go to start>control panel>programs and features and uninstall Uniblue.  It is legitimate, just not very useful.  You can safely remove it from your system, which should solve the error.  The phone call is more of a problem.

OK -- let us know what Malwarebytes reports and we can move on from there .....

Ha,Hugh.

I finally am getting back to let you know that I try the malwarebytes but I still had a virus so I contacted Norton and had to buy

the p.c.power booster I already had virus removal ins. So now I think I am virus free thanks for your help.preacherwife

Well I'm glad to hear tht you are virus free although I have to say that:

<<   I still had a virus so I contacted Norton and had to buy the p.c.power booster I already had virus removal ins. >>

is a new one to me .....

I wish you'd come back with the malwarebytes information and we probably would have helped you clean up for free!

Thanks for the help I think just maybe I am virus free even thought I am afraid to open my email they thought that might be where I might be getting the virus.

First rule -- don't open any email that is not from someone you know or recognize as being in touch with and don't open attachments unless you know already what they are.

Norton should check any email or attachment when you open it even if you don't have email checking turned ON.
