Exclude Drive from Backup

I have three (3) drives. (2 internal and 1 external [USB] with 2 partitions )
I backup to one of the external partitions.
I would like to exclude the other external partition since it's very large and is only used for storage.
Ghost 14 keeps telling me that I have no recovery points for it (I don't want any).
How can I tell Ghost that it's ok not to have recovery points for it??

Removing my message as Allen has already made the things clear.

Sorry for the post.

I have done all that (many times).

Let me reword my drive setup:

There are three (3) physical drives.

2 internal "C" and "D"

1 external [USB] with 2 partitions "G" and "H"

I want only "C"and "D" backed up to "H"

I don't want "G" backed up at all.

When I set it up I only highlight "C" and "D" to be backed up.

I keep getting the red X on Ghost in the system tray (at risk).

Hi MikeC,

Please do the following:

1.Start Norton Ghost.

2. On the Status tab, select your H drive from the list.

3. Under the Status reporting Status, click Customize status reporting.

4. Select No Status reporting.

5. Click Ok.

I think this is what you need.

Hi MikeC,

Sorry I guess I missed the part about you having two partitions on the backup drive, my apologies.

There is one other thing you should do as well. Windows has this habit of sometimes assigning different drive letters to removable drives such as USB when you unplug it and plug it back in later. This happens especially when you have multiple USB devices where they can be plugged in, in different combinations.

If Windows ever assigns a different drive letter to your USB backup drive, this will confuse Ghost. You should go into the Windows Disk Management and assign a static drive letter to the two partitions on your USB drive. Doing this should prevent Windows from ever assigning something different to it.
