There are specific directories I exclude under both "Items to Exclude from Scans" and "Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection".
The other day, Auto-Protect began scanning my system while completely ignoring the excluded directories even though those directories were still listed within Norton Settings. I resolved the problems that fiasco created but I still don't know what caused this to happen. It certainly wasn't a one time fluke having other issues with excluding folders before on two different systems, this one being a clean install of Windows 8 just a couple months ago.
Might help if I knew where the list of excluded files and folders is stored. Also wondered if anyone else ever ran into this problem and/or has a solution.
