Hi folks -
Definitely have a virus of some kind. Am running Vista on a Gateway PC, will the Norton Security Suite installed and up to date on the signature files. Am getting continual pop-ups with messages indicating infiltration from a known IP address, the windows security box popping up every few minutes (with green lights on everything), popup messages indicating various executable files are unable to work (verified by trying task manager, even CMD from the run box). I did manage to get a Norton full scan running a few minutes after this started. It's a couple of hours into scan with no risks identified yet.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, and if so, were you successful in having Norton wipe this out?
