I'm just moving to Windows 7 and decided the best thing for me was to image my current vista install with a view to running it as a virtual PC under Windows 7 host.
So, I used Ghost 14, created the .v2i file (50GB) and then got it to create me a .vhd file (84GB)
then installed Windows 7, trashing my Vista install as I needed it on the same partition and had the ghost image as backup anyway.
I tried to load the VHD file into Windows Virtual PC under windows 7 but got an error:
"Cannot attach the virtual hard disk to the virtual machine. Check the values provided and try again."
this might be something to do with the VHD being encrypted or compressed??
anyway, thought I'd try and re-create it, but I cant get Ghost to see my .v2i files again. Ideas?
