Norton 360 for Windows

I have norton 360 platinum install on my desk top computer and my laptop. I have the safe search extension where it shows a green tick or a red cross beside each website.
The thing is i have it activated on my desktop computer but as my default search engine is Google and it is located in the middle of the screen. I type the address and the websites i see but there is no green ticks or red crosses of any sort.
But when i put the same thing in the search box on the top of the screen it shows beside each web site a green tick or red cross.
On my laptop it works on both middle and top search bar.
I contacted norton and they said the extensions only work thru norton home page.
I use the google that is in the middle of the screen.

Even my old 360 premium had it and worked on desktop.

Windows 10 home edition.
What could it be?

Protect your searches with Norton Safe Search reads like notice for Norton Safe Web users that the Norton Safe Web extension will stop providing the ratings to all search engines except for Norton Safe Search.

And to continue seeing site ratings, Norton Safe Web users will need to install the Norton Safe Search extension.

regardless of whether Norton Safe Web users have Norton Safe Search installed now or not

as to how long you’ll see notice…I’m thinking…for some time…as long as you run Norton Safe Web on Chrome.

Maybe, Norton wants users to run Norton Private Browser.

Norton 360 v24 has Browser Protection → Web Shield [here ] doesn’t require an extension.
