External influence attempting to access sharigd on your computer

Good Morning

This pop-up rapidly and continuously reoccurs as fast as I press the button "Block."

⁜→ "The computer "fe80:a::ecb4:c3ff:fe3f:3907" is attempting to access sharigd on your computer.  Do you want to allow this connection?"

The only way I could find to access the internet was to "uninstall" Norton Security.

I am operating a macOS Big Sur Version 11.1 on an iMac 3.1GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5.  It has 64 GB RAM 2667 MHz DDR4 and a total of 9TB Hard Memory.

(QUESTIONS)

What does this mean?

Is there a quick fix to this problem?

Should I discontinue the use of Norton and find a substitute?

Regards,

R

Have you looked in your router logs or Lan settings to see if you can identify a device with that IP address? Do you have any other computers, cell phones, or security cams that connect to your network?

Here is another thread that had the same message come up.  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/i-keep-getting-pop-norton-360-i-have-no-idea-what-it-means
