3. Once you reach that page, your Facebook links will be scanned by Norton and the Safe, Cautious and Malicious links in your facebook feeds will be displayed to you.
There will be green icons corresponding to your Safe feeds, Yellow for cautious links and Red for malicious links.
You can refer this Support link for detailed information.
Thanks for your interest and trying it out immediately . After performing the above steps you should have got a Scan Result similar to this:
However, I think the Norton Facebook scan has now changed a little. Green check marks will not be displayed in your wall for the news feeds. Currently the app functions as below:
After you log in to your Facebook profile, Norton Safe Web asks for your permission to access your Facebook Wall. You can use the Allow option to view the Additional Permissions Required page. The grant us permission to access your stream option on this page lets you give permission to Norton Safe Web to access your Facebook Wall.
After you grant permission, Norton Safe Web scans all the available links on your Facebook Wall each time you use the Scan Facebook Wall option. It then displays the scan results for you.
If you select 'Enable Auto-Scan' feature in the Norton Safeweb Apps page, (https://apps.facebook.com/nortonsafeweb/) your Facebook News feeds will be scanned periodically. If any malicious link is detected by Safe Web , you will be notified. If no malicious activity is detected on your Facebook wall, then Norton Safe Web posts a message every week notifying that your Facebook Wall is safe.
You should have got the Scan Results for your Facebook feeds after performing the scan through the App.Please let us know if you were not able to get that.
Even though the green check marks are not shown in your wall, all your Facebook feeds will be analyzed by Norton Safe Web periodically after enabling 'Auto-Scan'.
The current behavior of the App is that you will be notified only if your feed has any malicious link. Otherwise you will be notified weekly once saying that no malicious activiy was seen in your feeds.
In between you can always navigate to the App page and get your feeds scanned and the results shown.(However, this step is not necessary if you have enabled the 'Auto-Scan' feature in the App, since the scanning will be done automatically.)
Please help. Right after an update from Norton, I can no longer access Facebook from either IE or Firefox on this computer. I can access on my Kindle, so I know it is not a FB issue. I am getting an HTTP 404 error and/or a "No accelerator found" message. I am sure that it is just a setting somewhere, but I cannot find it and Norton "Help" was of no help. HELP!!
