FaceTime issues after updating to BigSur 11.2

I would suggest removing it with the Norton removal tool and reinstalling it. That’s how I got it to work.

I have 8.6.3 (which I think is the most current version, and my FaceTime still doesn't work. Does anyone know if there is something in settings I need to change? I'm wondering if I inadvertently declined a permission-use popup window at some point.

I was able to remove Norton 360 with the removal tool and reinstall it and was able to get the new version.  So if anyone is having issues getting the new update they should remove and reinstall Norton.

is there anyway to download this manually... the update never came to me.

8.6.3 showed up as my version yesterday... I didn't have to download/install.  Fixed the FaceTime issue.

Yesterday the option to install 8.6.3 finally appeared. I installed it and tested FaceTime. It finally works.

I now have 8.6.3 and pleased to find that FaceTime now works without having to disable Vulnerability Protection.

I got Norton 8.6.3, through no effort of my own - it was apparently "pushed" to me. It did fix the FaceTime issue, so all is good nw...finally!

I cannot get this update either. It is frustrating to know there is a solution that I cannot get. Please help.

Why can't I download this with live update???  How do I install this update?

To all who asked: this AM I ran a "LiveUpdate" in the Norton Antivirus app.  Afterwards checked the version # -> 8.6.3. Then tested FaceTime and Screen Mirroring - both worked fine.

Checking:  https://community.norton.com/en/blogs/product-service-announcements/norton-security-mac-863-has-been-released.  It's possible that I won the lottery for getting the version update.  So I would imagine that the update will be offered widely soon.

I also have been trying to upgrade to 8.6.3 with no success. The explanation for doing a patch makes no sense to me.

Same question... how to upgrade to 8.6.3 since it is apparently only available via LiveUpdate, and only to limited endpoints, not via download.  I can't find a way to initiate a download.

I was able to upgrade to Norton 360 version 8.6.2

how did you get 8.6.3?

Updated to Norton Security for Mac 8.6.3 and I'm pleased to say that video in FaceTime as well as Screen Mirroring to Apple TV now works fine.  Thank you Norton for fixing this.  (Although I consider myself to be in the group that asks "What took you so long?")

We have released Norton Security for Mac 8.6.3. This is a phased release. Once you have updated to Norton Security 8.6.3, could you please let us know if this issue still persists? Thank you.

Ya I’m due to renew next month. If this isn’t fixed by then I’m done with this. It should take 4 months to fix this problem.

This is beyond frustration. I think many of us will not renew if they can’t fix this. There other good antivirus/computer protection programs out there.
