I just saw at the bottom of my computer a Norton Warning of a fake attack, but it listed my computer as the attacker. It said it was a high risk but no action is required because this attack was blocked by Norton. How can this be true--that is, my computer was attacked by my computer. It was listed as a fake attack The following was listed in the history for the attack:
IPS AlertName Fake App Attack: Fake AV redirect 31
If anyone can make sense of this please let me know as I am baffled.
