It seems that Symantec does not care that their customers who purchased their security products are genuine.
I noticed in my Windows Task Manager Application Tab that NIS 2010 Icon was a Windows Icon rather than the usual Symantec Icon that displayed when I first installed NIS 2009 and now NIS 2010. Attached is a JPEG of a screenshot of this instance.

I also noticed that the third ccSvcHst.exe file was capitalized. And now these files are all lowercase after I took a screen shot of the above image. JPEG attached as well.

I had previously reported problems with NIS 2010 and took steps to create then delete Windows computer administrator and limited user account profiles then reinstall FF3.6.3, which brought me to another Norton problem.
There is no Norton IPS Toolbar. I searched on Mozilla and Symantec's Community Forum NIS 2010 sites and have yet to follow through all of the other Forum user's recommendations.
After I ran a LiveUpdate today, there is a Safety Minder Extension included in my FF browser.
When will Symantec include the IPS Toolbar in the next LiveUpdate?
I am reluctant in deleting one of the recommendations, which was to delete the extensions files under the Mozilla Profiles' Application Data.
Thanks so much. Looking forward to answer and solutions!

I just checked this on my XP Pro SP3 installation with NIS 2010 17.7.0.12 and I have the normal Norton Icon and no capitals.
I don't understand what you are trying to say when you write << .... their customers who purchased their security products are genuine. >>
I don't see what it has to do with customers or products being genuine .... Can you explain?
What you are seeing is completely normal. Nothing fake as you so called claimed. I even have the same items as you but I use Process Explorer. So what you are seeing is compelely normal. Its more of a Windows things then anything. As far as Firefox I have discussed this in previous threads and what always works is doing as I suggested. Backup everything in Firefox using MozBackup. Then do a COMPLETE uninstall of Firefox. Be sure to select the option to remove all settings then reboot. Delete all left over files and folder from Mozzilla. Then re-install Firefox and use MozBackup to restore everything.
Dont cry over spilled milk.
