Hi all
Just posting this info for any new users who aren't certain of certain results listed in Malwarebytes' scans !
A number of users in the U/K have been querying the following file in the MBAM results log .
The file is" mozjs.dll " .........This file has been in the Mozilla Firefox folder for a long time now , but since the last update of Firefox and the recent MBAM Chameleon update process ...the file has also been reported as being related to....... "Spyware.OnlineGames" ?
Has anyone seen this in USA/ Canada etc ?
My own recent MBAM scan picked up the familiar False Positives below.........
HKCR\scrfile\shell\open\command| (Broken.OpenCommand) -> Bad: (NOTEPAD.EXE %1) Good: ("%1" /S) -> Quarantined and repaired successfully.
HKCR\regfile\shell\open\command| (Broken.OpenCommand) -> Bad: (NOTEPAD.EXE %1) Good: (regedit.exe "%1")
This is a long standing and often seen FP in MBAM scans ....but today I also received the " mozjs.dll " file flagged as suspicious , but I didn't see the reference to "SpywareOnline" in my log results !
For any new MBAM user who may be concerned about the appearance of " mozjs.dll " file in the scan results ...I can confirm that the said file is a known part of the Mozilla file list and isn't a threat in itself ...see here .......
Anyone else seen any changes in the FP's being flagged since the most recent Firefox Version update and the new Chameleon inclusion in MBAM ?
Regards...........Ed
