Some frustrating issues with false positive:
1. False positive that keep prompting non-stop to irritiate end user.
2. No option to ignore false positive. The only option given is to delete the file.
3. Live update do not resolve false positive issue despite a direct scan on this file show true negative.
(Virus definition used for direct scan and realtime memory scan (TSR) are not the same???)
btw, does Tech support for Norton existed? If yes, please provide url that go to a real technical human being.
Here's where to submit your false positives for evaluation;
https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/
That is a protected site so that if the file isn't a false positive it will not harm anything else.
