False positive touchdown

MobileIron’ Touchdown corporate email app keeps showing up as a virus in Norton Mobile Security. It is not.

No problem was venerable solved. This may be due to containerization But norton should give u option to add in safe list. Which is not the case. It's safe to use touchdown distributed thru employer. Finally we migrated to email+. No issue in email+

@Guptanoo  or   @jrobiso2

Was your issue with Touchdown resolved? If so, what did you do?

Thanks for looking into this, peterweb.

A lot of this was done by my employer's helpdesk while I was just watching, but this is what I remember from the operation.

You install MobileIron, which you get from the Google Play Store. You then have to configure it to work with the corporate account. As part of this configuration procedure, MobileIron pulls down some extra apps, such as Secure Apps Manager, TouchDown (for email), ThinkFree Office Viewer (to view documents such as attachments), and File Manager. These apps only work when secured by MobileIron, and the icons for these apps are shown with a little green padlock symbol.

Thanks for the added information.

Can you help me understand how you get the Touchdown app through MobileIron? I can install MobileIron, but without an account I can get not farther to see about setting up Touchdown. Is it a link within MobileIron, or do they tell you to go to the Play store to get the app?

The device is a mobile phone (BQ Aquaris A 4.5) running Android 6.0. And yes, it is MobileIron@work I'm using, for accessing my employer's corporate mail server.

As you are posting here, I would say that it is not resolved.

What device are you using and what Android version? Can you confirm it is MobileIron @work that you are using?

I'll see if I can get an update on this.

Has this issue been solved? I am getting the same problem.

The version of TouchDown I have identifies itself as version 8.5.00094-T7.4.0.0.38-129, and was installed with MobileIron (version 9.3.0.2.1R, installed from Google Play Store).

Are you still seeing the issue? Norton cannot find any problem with the Touchdown apps or the MobileIron apps. But it seems that MobileIron can wrap other apps into their's. This may be the problem. If you can get a specific link to the exact app you got on your phone, Norton can evaluate that.

Thanks

I've passed on this extra information.

I believe its app at work

Getting closer. The Mobile Iron web site lists a few different apps. So you know which specific one you are using?   https://www.mobileiron.com/en/products/apps

EDIT

There seems to be more options on the Google Play Store. Maybe you could choose from one of the apps listed here.  https://play.google.com/store/search?q=mobileiron

My touch down has been installed as part of mobile iron corporate pack.
I have touch down already installed from last 2 years.
Forced live update to .No benefit.still same issue

From your original post....

MobileIron' Touchdown corporate email app

Where are you downloading your Touchdown app? Why the mention of MobileIron?   EDIT  Sorry, that was the original poster that mentioned that.

Is the detection before you try to download, or have you had this app on the device and it is just now being detected. Have you forced a LiveUpdate to see if updated definitions may be available to fix this issue?

Still same status
At least enable one more hit button to put this in white list.

Can you check again? My contact tried today and says they did not see a detection. There may have already been a fix sent out.

Thanks for the added info. I have asked for help on this. I'll let you know what I hear.

Micromax E484
Lolipop

I'll pass this along to my Norton contacts to check into the possible false positive.

Please tell us what device you are using and what Android version.

Attaching screen shot.whatever may be the version ,if you feel its official then pls update definition.
