Akram,

Sorry to hear about your problems with the false positive detection of 'opt.exe'.

We are in receipt of your file and have completed analysis. The file is indeed clean and our signatures have been updated to correct this false positive.

You should download the latest Rapid Release Virus Defintion (Sequence 84671,  20080813.025 or higher) files from this location:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/AVDEFS/norton_antivirus_corp/rapidrelease/sequence/

Hi

I have file detected as a virus by norton, but the file clean (False Postive)

How I can send the file for analyzing ?

Best regards, Akram

Hi Akram

You can submit the file to Symantec here. You may also want to run the file through a Virus Total test, to see if any other vendors are picking up the file as a virus, as well.

Let us know how you get on.
