Hey guys,
A couple of months ago I had submitted to Symantec a couple of files, that were identified as Trojans by KAS7 On-Line Scanner (I run that from time to time). At the time, bewell (the Symantec employee in our forum here), had taken this matter into further investigation. I had then uploaded the files and were indeed examined by Symantec, and the reply was that these were false positives identified by KAS7 (last post, by bewell on this page) (http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis_feedback&thread.id=48439&view=by_date_ascending&page=4).........
Today, after 2 months, one of those two files was identified by NIS09 as a Trojan Horse. Actually, is an update.exe file for an On-line Pool game, that sits on my PC for the last 18 months.
I have submitted the file to Symantec again today, but I would appreciate anyone's help in determining whether this file is actually an FP or not. To be honest, I don't think that the file submission from inside the NIS09 suite leads to any actual results.
This whole situation is rather disturbing and confusing.
Thanks in advance,
TrDo.
