False virus allert in gmail for pdf attachments

This was originally meant as a request for help, but in the meantime I found a solution to my problem and just want to share my experiences. I will create another tread related to Adobe Flash Player that might, but might also not be related to this issue.

Gmail does not accept my mails with an pdf attached, containing a letter with a photo, where the size of the file exceedes 2Mb. The issue is that I suspect gmail to give a false alarm, where they give a virus allert for a simple file size issue. I solved the problem by simply send the attachment as a Word.docx document, with exactly the same content as the pdf. This transition reduced the file size to under 240 kb which passed through without problem.

The other tread concerns Adobe Flash Player, where I am requested again and again to install the latest version, while I already have the lastest version, Version 20.0.0.306.

Kind regards,

I have Norton Security for Norway, however, I'm presently in the US, but cannot reach the Chat service in the US, only in Norway.
