If my child visits a website that is blocked but feels it shouldn’t be they can request that it be allowed and this is great. While doing that they can also indicate that they think the site is incorrectly categorized. This seems to generate two entries in the activity list, one for a “Blocked website visited” and one for “Request for website category dispute”.
I opened the category dispute entry first and could not find any way to add the site to their allow list. The only option was to allow the entire category which I didn’t want to do. I ended up logging into the website and navigating to the profile settings to add the site to that child’s allow list. It wasn’t until I looked at the Blocked website visited entry that I found an option to add the site to the allow list.
It seems to me that the option to add the site should be a choice as well as the option to add the category in the Request for website category dispute entry. Not only would this eliminate a bit of confusion, it would highlight the difference between allowing a category and allowing a site to a parent who may inadvertently allow the category since it is the only choice visible.
