Feature request for norton internet security 2014

I do not like the norton internet security 2013 version very much , because it lacks features. 

I used to have kaspersky internet security and when it is compared with norton, kaspersky beats norton by a miliion miles!

 

So I would like if norton puts new features in the norton internet security 2014 version- a sand boxed , encrypted browser for online transactions ( like kaspersky safe money), an ad blocker (like kaspersky anti-banner) , which I need very much and a much needed vulnerability scanner (as in kaspersky).I would like to see PUP (Potentially Unwanted Application) detection as well.

 

Would very much appreciate if norton would put these features in Norton internet security 2014 version and if not I might switch to a security suite such as Kaspersky internet security again.

Please consider and reply to this request.

Very good idea, but unfortunatly i think if they add these features, it will be in Norton IS 2015 v22, not in v21 (2014)

You have alreday posted here where Symantec employees will read what is suggested.

 

I believe Norton had an ad blocker years ago, but was removed.

Ok so if they dont put the secure browser for transactions feature or ad blocker in the norton internet security 2014 version and if the symantec employees are not giving a replying about this request , might as well as switch to Kaspersky internet security soon.

Always wanted to make that move to switch to Kaspersky and not to continue using norton and that looks like the final choice to make because norton is not going to make any of those improvements in norton internet security 2014 version and others products such as Kaspersky has those features.

Anyway Norton better then kaspersky, I using Norton already 7 years and dont have a problem with security. 

Norton Internet Security 2014 release in september (maybe a little bit later).

Yeah but kaspersky has a lot more features than norton and kaspersky is worth the price.

Norton is loosing to competitors like kaspersky,  bitdefender and f secure because it lacks features. 

When not connected to internet norton decreases in protection and detection rate because it cant connect to the cloud amd it doesnt get that much good definitions.  But Kaspersky is well balanced and does not decrease in protection or detection rates even if not connected to the internet because it gets good definitions.

torterra1234, if you dont have internet connection then antivirus dont need at all, even without connection Norton better, 

Norton is not loosing to competitors, yes kasp have more features but it doesnt mean he is better.

By the way in future everyone always will be connected to internet.

Still not convincing.

Still think that Kaspersky is better than norton.

Anyway antivirus is needed even if there is no internet connection like to scan usb drives while taking laptop while travelling, scan cds, etc.

Norton better. 

Antivirus dont needed if no internet.

For usb u can use USB Disk Security, whic is much lighter them any antivirus, 

and for scan cds, etc. use portable scanners.

But then should have two security programmes to protect pc.

Isnt a security suite like norton supposed to provide complete protection at least usb scanning.   

Very disappointed about norton now.

If you are looking for product features, then go with Kaspersky. Symantec has decided to dumb-down the Norton v21 products; you'll find quite a number of features missing in this release.

Yes completely agree.

Norton is not only degrading in brand and features but also in customer support.

Been trying to contact them for days and they gave no response by mail, telephone or whatsoever.

This is really bad norton, expected more before buying this product.

So it is confirmed now that norton will not add new features to 2014 version and will also remove some exsisting good features.

Really disappointed in norton now that  even avast free antivirus is better because used it already and although it had fair detction rates it had many features and offered excellent customer support when being used. They replied to all emails sent to them right away.

Now norton, being a paid software, is loosing to free security suites as well. Very disappointing norton.

Switching to Kaspersky right away beacuse it is a million times better than norton!

Not changing descision!
