I am not sure if this is entirely the formal method for feature requests, but I was a bit disappointed after a couple hours of troubleshooting and a Norton Support chat later I found that the Norton Identity Safe (and other?) toolbars are not supported for Chrome on OSX. I would like to formally or informally request the product team supports the available Chrome extensions on the OSX platform.
A couple side-notes or observations from an IT Professional:
- To me, it is a bit odd to release an extension for a cross-platform browser that only works on the Windows platform not the main ~3 other OSes the browser is available for.
- To me, it is excessively obscure and complicated to find exact product and platform compatibility guides. I searched for 30 minutes straight with the aid of a Norton support agent looking for a Norton product specification page that clearly states what browser and OS platforms each piece of the Norton Security suite is supported. Nowhere does it state the NIS extensions are "Supported for Chrome but only on the Windows platform". To me, a customer, this feels like the product advertisement page states "you get features X, Y and Z" but in the background there are not obvious caveats like "well, feature X only works on Windows, feature Y is only available with a subset of features on our mobile platform"
