Feb 21 update from Norton Family Team

Earlier this week, we have released updates to the Norton Family PC and Mac clients service to address a number of technical issues that were raised in this forum. They include:

 

  • “My child is using Firefox v19 for Windows and Mac desktops – how come I can't see his web activity and why is Norton Family not blocking those web sites?”
  • “My child is using a desktop running Windows 7. Why am I seeing multiple Norton Family icons running in the system tray? They won't go away.”
  • “My child has a new PC and I've decommissioned the older Windows PC in the Norton Family portal. Yet after restarting, it looks like Norton Family is still monitoring that old PC”
  • “I’ve signed up Norton Family but didn’t have any children setup yet. Now I see an error message when I try to log in” 
  • "Norton Family service is not running on my child's Windows PC but I never got the email alert telling me that there was no activity on that PC"
