FF10 and Norton 360 incompatible Norton toolbar

I have FF10.0.2  on 2 XP machines running Norton360 v5.2.0.13, on both the Norton toolbar works just fine.

But I have the subject problem on a Windows 7 machine running FF10.0.2 and Norton360v6.0.1.2.

I have rerun LiveUpdate.  Removed and reinstalled FF10.0.2, restarted Windows 7.  However FF10 apparently still sees the incompatible Norton Toolbar 2012.5.1.5.  Any more ideas?

Hi Broadhead,

Welcome to Norton Community!

You need to run LiveUpdate to get the compatibility patch for Firefox 10.0. Run LiveUpdate repeatedly from Norton 360 V6 until you receive all the available updates and then restart the computer. Check if there are any more updates after restarting the computer. Then verify if the toolbar is available in Firefox 10.0. If the problem persists, uninstall/reinstall Norton 360 once:

Thanks for the advice.  I did the exhaust-N360-updates and restart 3 times.  No joy.  I then executed the N360 remove-and-reinstall and restart.  No joy.  For good measure I removed and reinstalled FF10.0.2.  FF still indicates my Norton toolbar 2012.5.1.5 is incompatible.  Also incompatible is the Norton Vulnerability Protection 10.1.0.68-1.  Once earlier I was allowed to "enable" the NVP but not currently.  Wow.

Finally have success, after getting a message "previously installed update needs restart".  Thank you!
