Is there a way to do a complete file check, to make sure the software hasn't been compromised in any way?
Reason I'm asking right now: Im building out my laptop currently, and the password protection I entered for NIS didn't work for me later on in the day. Now, of course there's no way at all I could have entered the password incorrectly on both lines or forgetting the password I used, naturally someone hacking me and changing my NIS password is much more reasonable (particularly when I wasn't browsing at the time).. :-)
Still, I'd be curious if there was a way to check the install, or if NIS has self-protection methods in place to be sure the software itself hasn't been tampered with. Not referring to settings of course, but the software itself.
