File Cleanup

There is an option to have Norton clean Firefox files, but it's not listed under File Cleanup. After talking to a rep, who told me the option doesn't exist in Norton, I came here looking for some feedback.

Is Norton actually cleaning the files? If so, where is it listed? I've actually checked for files after running the clean up feature, and they are still present. The Firefox Cleanup is set to On under Settings, Administrative Settings.... scroll to the bottom.

Any ideas?

If I do that, will I have to reinstall it again?  I'm hesitant to do that because I've already used the program on two other computers, and I've used up all the licenses.

If you use Identity Safe, please export a copy of your ID Safe data to somewhere you can find it.

The Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool will uninstall your current copy and install an fresh, clean, activated copy.  It won't use an activation if you are reinstalling on the same system.  If you do run into any problems Customer Support would be able to sort it for you.  Live Chat is often the best way to contact them.  www.norton.com/chat

I have Norton 360. It has been working fine...until now. When I try to run the file clean up under Tune Up, I get an error message saying that there is another instance  of this task is running, and won't let me do anything. to my knowledge, Norton 360 is the only anti virus running.  anyone know what the problem might be?  thx

It has nothing to do with it , as helful as the chat employee who would only help if I gave him access to my computer, and recorded that the event was concluded as Id lost my computer!!!

The actual solution was that Norton had an upgrade that was failing I manually sorted, worryingly other elements of the product were out of date and not reporting it to me.

Then I had the usual garbage that after an update I had to start a new backup folder as Norton refuses to use the existing backupp.. well doccumented on here.

Hello NortonUser

I still have the listing, but mine is grayed out. I figured mine is grayed out because I don't use Firefox and I figure that Norton knows that.

Thanks.
