I returned from a business trip today and suddenly file sharing and network browsing among the computers at my small business is no longer working. My laptop (Windows Vista Professional) can no longer see or access files on the other computers, and they cannot access the Public folder on my laptop, but the other computers can still access shared files/folders among each other. I tried setting the NIS Trust Control to Full Trust on both my laptop and another computer, but I still cannot access files on that computer. I've also tried turning Windows file/printer sharing off and back on, as well as Network Discovery off and then back on, hoping that might get things going again, but no luck.
Note that intermittently I can see the names of 1 or 2 of the 6 computers on our network in the Network folder, but when I double click on them instead of seeing their shared folders I get an error message about not being able to locate that computer.
I am not sure whether this is truly a NIS problem or some Windows problem, so if anyone can provide a means of testing that issue or any options to try within NIS I'd really appreciate some help!
