Files are encrypted with RSA-2048 and AES-128 ciphers

A. Apparently with a few key strokes associated with my Acrobat program I have infected my computer with malicious malware, thus converting some 15,000 files to an OSIRIS identification (unknown to me), e.g. 9795.98a.32: Please see the notation below which I was able to open in one obscure PDF file giving me instructions for further action.

The action of this malware has rendered my files types such as JPG, PNG, BMP, PDF, TIFF not openable! While my Photoshop Files e.g. PSD & RAW seem to be immune. Also a lot of poor english in the quote suggesting a foreign entity.

B. QUESTION: Since this event seems to be an implied ransom has anyone heard of this and how might I reverse the file type identities to their original state without paying a fee to do so and also further deepening my involvement with a disreputable entity?

C. Should I address this request to a different entity in the Norton domain or possibly elsewhere? Thanks for help from anyone!

PS... I'm a newbie in making this request and this is actually my very first request in 15 years.

Hello

Have you backed up your computer on a regular basis? If on an external drive, please do not keep it plugged in. For any possible chance of getting this cleaned up, I would suggest going to one of the free malware removal sites which we recommend. Please pick one and stay with them until they say your computer is clean..

Please see this link for an up to date description of these sites plus the addition of a newly listed site formed by one of our successful malware remover users who unfortunately has passed away. That site is still being run by a good expert who happens to be one of the other Gurus.  The new site is listed first in this link.

Good Luck & Thanks.
