Norton recently detected my FIFA23.exe file as IDP.Generic and blocked it. Now the .exe file is missing from my FIFA 23 folder. I cannot find it in Quarantine, and I don’t see any option to restore or unblock it.
I’ve already added the entire FIFA 23 folder to Exclusions, but the file still doesn’t appear.
The file is not infected, it’s just a “non-original” game.
Can someone guide me on how to restore or unblock the .exe so I can run my game safely?
I had a similar issue yesterday. Version 25.9.10453.953 modified z zip archive and removed what it though was a virus from the archive. I found the removed file in quarantine and wanted to create an exception for it and restore it, but when I tried to do that, Norton showed an error message saying it can’t perform that operation. I’ve had the zip file for more than a decade and older versions of Norton had always given me an option to either leave the “infected” file be (before it was moved to quarantine) or to correctly restore it from quarantine.
