"Find an antivirus program"

Hi all,

 

I'm running a windows 7 64-bit system--

 

I recently upgraded from nav '11 to '12.  Upon doing so, I started getting a red flag on the lower right-hand part of the desktop telling me that I didn't have any antivirus programs installed.  I contacted Microsoft about this, and they told me it was an issue w/Norton.  I contacted Norton, and we verified that I had coverage for a full year, so (according to Norton) it wasn't their problem.  I went BACK to Microsoft, and they told me that it definitely was NOT a Microsoft issue, and that it was a norton issue...

 

So what's going on?  Am I the only one this is going on with?  What's causing the non-detection, and can it be remedied?  It's really annoying, and I'm not very keen on getting bumped around in the manner I have between MS and Norton.
