Firefox 27 Support for Norton Toolbar

Hi Everyone,

 

We have released a Firefox 27 compatibility patch for Norton Internet Security 21.1.0.18, Norton 360 21.1.0.18, andComcast Norton Security Suite 21.1.0.18 which is available via LiveUpdate. The patch is also available for the Norton 2013, Norton 2012, and Norton Identity Safe standalone product.

The versions for this compatibility update are as follows:

 

Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 & Comcast Norton Security Suite v 21.1.0.18

 

Norton Toolbar: 2014.6.5.1

 

Note: For the 21.x update, this patch does not require reboot on Win7 & Win 8 machines.

 

Norton Identity Safe Standalone: 

 

Norton Toolbar: 2014.6.0.27

 

Note: For Identity Safe Standalone, this patch requires a reboot.

 

 

Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 v20.4.0.40

 

Norton Toolbar: 2013.4.8.1

 

Note: For the 20.x update, this patch does not require reboot on Win7 & Win 8 machines.

 

 

Norton Internet Security 2012 (19.9.1.14) & N360 2012 (6.4.1.14)

 

Norton Toolbar: 2012.5.22.3

 

Note: For the 2012 update, this patch will require a reboot.

 

 

We recommend that you have the latest version of Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 installed.  If you are not seeing the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 27, check and make sure you're running NIS, N360 or NSS 21.1.0.18. Please visit our Norton Update Center to receive the latest update. 

 

You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version. It will appear in the LiveUpdate history as Norton Toolbar Add-on for Firefox.

 

If you are running Firefox 27 and Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 21.1.0.18 or NSS 21.1.0.18, and still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

  

Please note: We now only officially support Firefox 25.0 and above. Firefox 24 and older are no longer supported. See this announcement for more information.

Hi, SedonaHike. The standalone Identity Safe is updated independently of any installed Norton products.

Thank you so much F4E.  I had no idea where to find the live update for Identity Safe, I was updating FF, not Identity Safe!  It finally worked, after checking 6 times for updates (I had read that people had to do it repeatedly, so did not give up).

Norton 360 version is 21.1.0.18

Add-on Bar is checked, but nothing else is shown as enabled, i.e., no NTB...

Operating System is Windows 7

Firefox version is 27.0.1

Hi!  I looked arond the computer, and I'm running Norton360.  I tried to update this thru the security settings, and Internet Explorer tests fine with my copy of Norton Identity Safe, but the one for Mozilla Firefox says: "status could not be determined".

 

I use Firefox almost exclusively, and I've been running N360 for a few years now, and never had any problems with the interface between Firefox and my Norton Identity Safe before.

 

I'd like to get my copy of Firfox back to normal.....
