You are right. This resolution was related to "plug-in container.exe". The same problem affected a few other firefox files. We have resolved the problem for all released versions of firefox (especially 3.6.16 and 4). If you are aware of any other issue that is causing Norton to crash release builds of firefox (similar to plug-in container.exe) - then please do let me know.
For clarification - this issue is not related to the norton toolbar. Our engineering team is actively working on that separately and will be updating the thread here.
Actually, Dave, my post was in reply to RVAR's response above that the Toolbar issue on FFv4 was resolved.....how do I clear the disabled extension? No option to enable appears....
Hi brain44,
This thread is in regards to a separate issue not related to the toolbar being incompatibile.
Actually, Dave, my post was in reply to RVAR's response above that the Toolbar issue on FFv4 was resolved.....how do I clear the disabled extension? No option to enable appears....
I thought rvar's response above is limited to "plug-in container.exe" issues.
What did you think ~ brain44 ?
edit: Thanks Tim & rvar I suspected there might be some enthusiastic confusion.
