Firefox 4 incompatibility still not resolved

First, I have been using Norton since the days of DOS and Windows 3.1.  I have always been satisfied with service, but as the company has grown, that level of satisfaction has decreased.  For anyone who gets Norton through their service provider, the incompatibility issues between Firefox 4 and Norton Security Suite have not been resolved.  I assume that a substantial number of individuals obtain this product via their service provider, especially those with Comcast, and I am baffled that this has seemingly been pushed aside.

Firefox had more delays with version 4 than with any other browser version to date, most of which were not architecture-related but little bugs here and there.  The release delays of Firefox 4 gave many plugin authors extra time to ensure compatibility, and of all the plugins that I have used, Norton is the only one who has not updated their software.  Porting a plugin to a different browser version is not an exceedingly complex task, and I'm surprised that this issue has still not been resolved.  The two hotfixes affect a very limited number of people; the issue should have been fixed for everyone.

What is the concrete date for this fix?  Many of us require the features provided by the toolbar, and, if it will be too long, then some of us will have to find an alternate product to use, whether indefinitely or until Norton updates their software.  I ask this question publicly because Norton has not given an adequate response.

Thanks,

Chris
