FF 47.0.1 available from the internal updater.
jboland1: However, until yesterday I could open the Vault from inside Firefox.
Thanks, bjm. I have been following the Firefox compatibility problem from the beginning, waiting for some relief in late August, as promised. However, until yesterday I could open the Vault from inside Firefox. That functionality is gone now. I was hoping that someone knew how to restore it, or has Mozilla now erased the last vestiges of compatibility with Identity Safe?
jboland1: The Add-Ons menu in Firefox shows Identity Safe as "Enabled", although the toolbar does not appear and Identity Safe cannot be accessed.
Identity Safe limited compatibility with Firefox - current status
Same problem, with one exception. The Add-Ons menu in Firefox shows Identity Safe as "Enabled", although the toolbar does not appear and Identity Safe cannot be accessed. Disabling IS, restarting Firefox, then re-enabling does not help. IS works correctly in Internet Explorer. This problem began shortly after the FF 47.0.1 upgrade.
cagynightowl:Yes, my Norton 360 Security Suite Software is a free perk from Comcast.
(Comcast Internet Service may be more expensive than the phone company and AT&T, but for me, the free Norton 360 Security Suite is worth it.)
My current version is: N360_22.5.2.15
Thanks.
According to this blog post NSS has been updated to 22.7, so can you run Live Update, restart your machine and check again?

I take it you have Norton Security Suite from your ISP? Can you tell us the version? You can find that by clicking Help, or Support > About.
Thanks.
The Firefox 47.0.1 Update disabled my Norton Identity Safe Extension.
The error message states; "Identity Safe was disabled because the extension could not be verified for use in Firefox". I tried the Norton Support, command line input fix and successfully re-copied the verification file but it had no effect on the disabled Firefox extension.
The Norton Toolbar Plug-in is MIA. Cannot find any indications there ever was one.
The Identity Safe feature in my Security Suite program correctly indicates the Firefox Identity Safe Extension is disabled. Also, in my Security Suite's main menu window, the Identity Safe status indicator shows the Norton Toolbar, "Configure" link in red, and it is non functional. The other 3 Identity Safe status Indicators are green.
Before this last update, the Norton Toolbar and Identity Safe Extension were working in Firefox.
Both browser add-on's work fine in Internet Explorer 11.
My computer is running Windows 7 - 64bit Home Premium.
For me I don't use the Norton Toolbar or IDS so I let it auto-update especially since I use FF spasmodically.
Mine may of too but we used to have to wait for the Norton toolbar to update before updating FF so I have my setting to check for updates but let me choose when to install them.
Mine selfupdated when I went to check what I had (47.0.0) and now is 47.0.1
