That's what I've done on Cyberfox and Firefox on three machines and they have not shown up since.

for me Boomarks tab in the FF main menu bar seems to be mirror > http://s13.postimg.org/4q21z5pk7/screenshot.png of Permalink

Hi, bjm_. I was actually referring to them disappearing from the Bookmarks list, when I click onto the Boomarks tab in the FF main menu bar.

Hi, bjm_. Maybe. I just know that toggling browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked to false. stops them reappearing.

Okay, I'll try toggle from about:config.

Hide toggles browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked = false

That's ok if there's only a few, and they will be there after each browsing session..............

Yes..., when I did "Hide Recently Bookmarked" .... about:config > browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked toggled to false.
Maybe there's preference to stop items going to Recently Bookmarked..?

my dust collector 48.0.2 box was "up to date" so, I pulled 49 from here > https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ or here > https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Checked for update in 48.0.2 and says I am up to date. Did they pull 49???

Jim no

Or, right click > Hide

Now the bookmarks menu shows your recently bookmarked entries, as well as your usual ones !   angry

Yet again, another setting in About:Config that needs to be changed.

If anyone doesn't want this behavior, then toggle browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked to false.

Fixed !  yes

FF49x64 feels okay for me (Norton extensions disabled).

Which bits will break Norton, I wonder .....
