Martin Brinkmann’s 11-Mar-2026 Chipp.in Tech News article Mozilla changes plans, extends Firefox support on Windows 7 and 8 once more is reporting that Firefox ESR v115.x support has been extended (again) for Win 7 and Win 8.x users until August 2026.
The official Firefox ESR release calendar now shows that future Firefox ESR v115.x releases are currently scheduled to continue up to Firefox ESR v115.39.0 (due 18-Aug-2026) and states:
“We have decided to extend support to ESR 115 only on Windows 7-8.1 and macOS 10.12-10.14 up to August 2026. We will re-evaluate this decision in July 2026 and announce any updates on ESR 115’s end-of-life then.”
