β€œWe decided to extend support for ESR 115 only on Windows 7-8.1 and macOS 10.12-10.14 up to March 2026. We will re-evaluate this decision in February 2026 and announce any updates on ESR 115’s end-of-life then.”

Good news for older OS users indeed. There is always a but, here is mine. While this rings a few dog whistles, users need to begin understanding the risks of running an OS that old, and that outdated, having not been serviced for years. Front facing the internet no less. They not only risk themselves but the larger internet community as well. Corporations are the biggest culprits for the sake of their bottom lines while raking in billions every year. When those breaches occur, most don’t even report it as a matter of policy. The ones that do pay fines and its business as usual. America as a whole has to get dead serious about our personal responsibilities. Just my two cents.

Thanks for posting as always lmacri!!
